![]() I've watched some YT videos and read some articles, but they all pretty much have the same setting adjustments and such and they haven't changed anything. So I guess I'm mostly trying to figure out if anyone else went through this or what's going on. It's *better* but still not good and is only approaching the speed it was back when I used 17, but I obviously have a stronger card now.Ĥ8GB RAW (Had 32 in the old machine and added it to the 16) - I have run tests with varying memory stick sand such to see if that was an issue but the problem remained constant in all iterations. This is where it really hurts as sometimes I render 3-4 things in a day ranging from 5 min to 55 minutes long. Now that you have your speed set, go back to video settings. When I did Fusion-heavy renders, RAM usage (not GPU Shared or Dedicated) was much higher, up to the maximum specified in my settings for Fusion. If your computer is struggling with processing all that data, change your speed to somewhere between 5-10 frames. In Resolve settings, you can specify how much RAM Resolve will use and Fusion (within Resolve) will use. You should see a setting called render speed. ![]() The next issue, which is the bigger one is that my rendering time seems to have decreased by as much as 20%. First, go to the file settings and scroll to the very bottom. Though I didn't make any major setting changes when I used Davinci 17. I has to set Timeline Proxy Resolution to Half so it wouldn't have stutters and skips. Resolve will then ask you to save the render to a folder of your choosing on your computer. It also gives you options for including fusion effects. A pop-up window will appear giving you a slew of options including format and codec ones. I noticed it had some issues with playback that I never had before. Right-click on the clip that you want to render and select render in place. I got a new machine, transferred hard drives and video cards.
